Institutional Research
The fundamental purpose of the Office of Institutional Research (IR) is to provide central information and analytical support for university decision making, planning and assessment activities to help 51ÂÜÀò fulfill its mission. In this capacity, IR assumes primary responsibility for analyzing and interpreting data about the performance of the University.

Student data and trends (enrollment, retention/graduation rates, credit hours, etc.)
Equity-minded data collection and use consultation
External benchmarking data
Statistical analysis of data
Interpretation of data analysis results
Compliance with Federal Reporting requirements such as IPEDS
Completion of most Guidebook Surveys such as US News, Princeton Review, College Board and others on behalf of RWU
Assistance with program accreditation reports
Survey creation/design consultation
Administration of national surveys such as the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
Assessment consultation/metric development
Research design consultation
Liaison to the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE)
Administrative liaison to SmartEvals student course evaluations
