Headshot of Mauricio CortesInstead of me overthinking my major, my advisor laid it all out. She showed me the credits I needed and what would be best for me. From there, I realized I could take action. That helped me come to the major I have today.

Headshot of Natalie AlmeidaNatalie Almeida came to 51蹤獲with in interest in politics, a fascination with the media, and a desire to do work related to her Portuguese and Cape Verdean culture. She decided on a unique major and minor combination that fit both her passions. I used journalism as a way to see how different ethnicities and different people are portrayed in the media, said Almeida. I learned how to interact with the media and to understand why things are reported in the way they are.
