RWU's Director of Athletics to Serve as Chair of the NCAA Division III Wrestling Committee

I am very humbled and excited to be able to serve the student-athletes and coaches in NCAA Division III Wrestling, said Kemmy. We are looking forward to another exciting year on and off the mat.
This marks Kemmys second appointment as Chair of the Division III, after having served in the same capacity from 2003-05. In addition, he was involved on the NCAA Wrestling Committee from 2002-06.

Kemmy has long been a fixture in the wrestling community in New England and nationally, with over 30 years of coaching experience on the mat. He is a member of both the Rhode Island Wrestling Hall of Fame and New England Wrestling Association Hall of Fame. In March 2011, Kemmy was honored for his contributions to the sport with induction to the National Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
Kemmy served as Head Coach of the 51蹤獲Wrestling team for 18 years before stepping down to take the post as Director of Athletics, Intramurals, and Recreation at Roger Williams. In his first year, he was recognized as NCAA Division III National Rookie Coach of the Year and New England Rookie Coach of the Year. During his tenure, he tallied 250 dual meet wins, coached four NCAA All-Americans, led the Hawks to five Pilgrim League Championships, and captured the 2007 New England Dual Meet Championship.
