Middle School Certification
When you become certified to teach middle school, you’ll learn how to help students at this critical age build upon fundamentals learned in elementary school and prepare for high school. RWU’s Middle School Certification provides Elementary and Secondary Education graduates with additional tools to succeed in the middle school classroom, including how to build a curriculum, instruct students and assess their development.

Application Requirements
To be considered for admission to the Middle School Endorsement Graduate Certificate program, applicants must hold an earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university. To apply, submit the following:
- Completed online application form accompanied by the $50 application fee
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate coursework
- Letter of Intent (two double-spaced pages maximum) describing your interest in the program, relevant past experiences, and career goals
- A valid teaching certificate
